A woman was struck and killed by another car while checking a blown tire on Interstate 95 early Saturday, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
It happened about 4 a.m. on a northbound stretch of I-95 north of the Broward Boulevard exit in Fort Lauderdale.
Vivianna Michelle Sanchez, 29, of Fort Lauderdale, was driving a 1997 Toyota Corolla when the tread separated from the right rear tire causing her to swerve onto the left shoulder of the highway and hit a concrete barrier wall, according to the crash report.
